does this mean i now have to wax?

2 Sep

took the esteemed advice and taped up before running – we will come back to that later

it is amazing what 5° difference in temp does.  the run last night was in the rain and a lot cooler than recent ones.  the distance ended up being a tad under 29 km. however, the time was quicker and a sight more comfortable than the 27.5 km run last week and only the last 1 km or so ended up being a shuffle.  the stress in the legs appeared considerably less until that last kilometre too. therefore i could hold my technique for a lot longer.

now back to the tape… no blood this time so obviously the tape did its trick.  was pretty chuffed at that accomplishment until – until i went to take it off.  bloody hell the pain. it was worse than watching cut themselves. whats more, there are now vertical strips of bare skin above and below the nipples.  will definitely not be running without a top now. unless i shave or wax my whole chest….

thinking about it.  that advice.  was i setup???

Hey jim, as an aside have u thought Of putting a sensor I. Each time u run and building up a diary vs sensor comparison on gait that is, bounce/slump might be of intrest too 😉

actually i have thought of this a number of times – each time, about halfway thru the run – doh….
as a favour, can you remind me next time i am preparing to leave? also, are they waterproof…
might have to disable the gyro for longer battery life. can that be done remotely?

and yes it would be perfect to test our hypothesis that they can detect fatigue during running

You didn’t use duct tape, right? There are medical tapes designed to not rip hair out…

uh oh. is duct tape grey? i found some lying in the bottom of the drawer and thought this will do – no wonder it ripped the top layer of skin off too…
